Gilchrist's Boosterthon & FunRun is an annual event.  It is our school's largest at-once fundraising occasion. For the 2022-23 school year Boosterthon kicks off on 9/29 and culminates on 10/7 with our annual FunRun!

AR is a computer program that helps teachers and librarians manage and monitor children's independent reading practice. Your child picks a book at their own level and reads it at their own pace. When finished, your child takes a short quiz on the computer to gauge reading comprehension.  Goals and reading levels are set based on test feedback. Gilchrist has two book fairs held annually.  One in the fall and the other in the spring.  Both book fairs are done in conjunction with Scholastic and funds raised directly benefit Gilchrist's library.  Funds raised go to the purchase of additional library books for our school.  For the 2022-23 school year the Fall book fair will be held August 29 - September 2 and in the Spring April 3-6.

Gilchrist's Soup & Chowder Luncheon is a GES tradition. Our teacher's and staff look forward to this day annually where we bring them homemade dishes and secret family recipes. We try to offer various options. Look for the email in the Fall to get in on the fun and chance to spoil our staff in a fun way! Chowder Luncheon is set for November 3 during the 2022-23 school year.
